About 2500 excited followers welcomed the Turkish national football squad during a public training session prior to the European Championship. Absent from the training session were goalkeeper Mert Güvenok (Besiktas Istanbul) and offensive player Irfan Can Kahveci (Fenerbahce Istanbul), who were kept out as a precaution, according to a spokesperson for the federation.
