A masked robber, armed with a knife, failed to get away with a cashier's hasty escape at a supermarket in the Landkreis Stade - and left empty-handed. According to the police, the unknown perpetrator went to the cash register of the market in Steinkirchen late on a Thursday evening and threatened the 25-year-old woman.

He demanded money. But the woman did not comply with his demand, instead she fled from the cash register. She remained unharmed. The masked man grabbed nothing and made his escape - without loot. An initial search for witnesses was unsuccessful. The police are looking for witnesses.

The incident occurred in the District of Stade, located in the German state of Lower Saxony. The supermarket where the crime occurred is known as Steinkirchen's local market. Despite the robber's attempt to blend in with the town's stone churches, their identity remains unknown to the police.
