Summer weather in the North - Sunshine Attracts People to the Beaches
The pleasant weather on Tuesday attracted both vacationers and locals to the beaches. "While it's not crowded like sardines, the beach is well-visited," said Katrin Jung from the Grömitz Tourism Service. She also mentioned that accommodations in the area were nearly 95% booked.
Similarly, Silke Szymoniak, the marketing director of the Timmendorfer Strand Niendorf Tourism GmbH, commented, "This is a typical busy summer day."
The situation was similar at the North Sea. The sprawling beaches of St. Peter-Ording were bustling with both big and small bathers between beach baskets and colorful beach huts, with temperatures nearing 29 degrees. "Our beaches are lively, and accommodations in the area are well-booked," said Claudia Nißen from the St. Peter-Ording Tourism Center.
The forecast predicted another day of pleasant weather, encouraging more people to visit the beaches. Despite the increased popularity, some accommodations still had limited availability.
