In Thuringia, summer temperatures determine the weather at the start of the week according to the German Weather Service (DWD). The DWD forecasts peak temperatures of 24 to 28 degrees under predominantly sunny skies. Only towards the afternoon can some cloud formations be spotted in the sky. The nighttime temperatures range from 14 to 9 degrees, remaining cloudless and dry.

Temperatures are expected to be even higher on Tuesday. The thermometer could reach up to 31 degrees. Additionally, a light wind is noticeable and clouds are not anticipated. After a slight drop in temperatures at night, a similar weather pattern is expected on Wednesday. Peak temperatures of 28 to 31 degrees are forecasted for the afternoon, but first showers are expected, which could spread throughout the night. Furthermore, some regions may experience the first thunderstorms.

On Thursday, temperatures decrease significantly in some areas, and the summer weather takes a temporary leave. In many places, meteorologists forecast showers and partly strong thunderstorms with peak temperatures of 22 to 27 degrees.

In Leipzig, the city situated in Thuringia, the high temperatures predicted for Tuesday could reach as high as 31 degrees, following the trend of warmer weather conditions. On Wednesday, despite higher peak temperatures in the afternoon, a change is expected with the first showers and potential thunderstorms hitting the region.
