A celebration event - Sun, music, and festivities: Rock am Park's event commences
Music festival enthusiasts had already arrived on Thursday and set up camp for the beginning of the event. Thus far, everything remained peaceful, said Sohrab Taheri-Sohi from the Bavarian Red Cross. The medical professionals only treated minor cuts and insect bites. Taheri-Sohi encourages attendees to drink plenty of non-alcoholic beverages and apply sunscreen frequently during this hot weather.
Even before the first band began playing on the main stage, people formed long lines at the festival gates. As soon as the music started, a large number of festival-goers rushed to the stage. Some wore sun hats and sunglasses, while others had dressed up as well. At the same time, the twin festival Rock am Ring is occurring at the Nurburgring, where the same bands are performing simultaneously.
