- Summer heat with thunderstorms in some places
After a sunny morning in Bavaria, thunderstorms and clouds gradually move in from the west starting midday. However, it will remain warm in the coming days, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD).
Especially in the Allgäu region, showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon, with heavy rain and hail not ruled out. Temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius are forecast by the DWD.
The thunderstorms will gradually move eastwards overnight, affecting the rest of Bavaria. On Thursday, a mix of sun and clouds is predicted, but temperatures will remain summer-like, between 23 and 28 degrees Celsius, with more sun expected in the northern regions. The Alpine foothills and Alps will continue to see showers and thunderstorms.
Friday will also be mixed but very warm, with temperatures up to 29 degrees Celsius. Along the Danube and south of it, the DWD expects more sunshine than in the rest of Bavaria, with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible. For the weekend, temperatures are expected to rise again, reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius, and even higher in some areas by Sunday.
The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts continued warm temperatures, despite the thunderstorms, with temperatures between 23 and 28 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The DWD's forecast indicates summer-like conditions throughout the week.
