The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued a heat warning for Bremen and Lower Saxony. On Tuesday afternoon, temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius are expected, the DWD announced. It could become particularly hot in the south of Lower Saxony.
In the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. In the region of East Frisia, the Emsland, and the Weserbergland, there could even be severe weather events due to heavy rain, hail, and gusts of wind. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms will gradually decrease, and temperatures will cool down to up to 17 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, there will still be showers and thunderstorms, with a risk of severe weather due to heavy rain and hail. Throughout the day, it will be muggy with temperatures between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius. On the islands, it will be slightly cooler, with the DWD predicting only 25 degrees Celsius.
Despite the heat warning, residents in Bremen might find some relief from the scorching temperatures as thunderstorms are predicted in some parts of the city. Regarding the forecast for Lower Saxony, while the southern regions will continue to experience high temperatures, Bremen might experience these storms as well.
