Violent weather front approaches - Summer celebration in Sigmaringen district cancelled.
As a result of the relentless downpour, a summer event in the Sigmaringen area had to be called off. The fire department in Moosheim, located in Bad Saulgau, has been working nonstop since Friday, attempting to manage the excess water. A fire department official confirmed that the festival grounds were submerged. In order to remove the accumulated water, the emergency services constructed a dam. With this new setup, they were able to drain the water, alas leaving Sunday and Monday as the canceled days for the festival, according to the city's fire chief. "Unfortunately, our summer festival has joined the ranks of those that sink into the water," he lamented.
