Frankfurt am Main - Suitcase leads to temporary closure at the main station
Frankfurt Central Station was temporarily closed on Thursday due to a suspicious suitcase. "The measures were lifted in the early afternoon," said a spokesperson for the federal police in Koblenz. "However, there may still be disruptions to rail traffic. It will take a while until things return to normal."
The emergency services had been alerted because of a suspicious briefcase near the lockers. Special forces from the Federal Police then examined the object and finally gave the all-clear.
