People driving, walking, and sailing should prepare for limitations starting from 10 AM today, thanks to the handling of a World War II-era 250 kg airborne bomb in Koblenz. The city is asking for the evacuation of the approximately 300-meter safety sphere surrounding the Pfaffendorfer Bridge in the city center before 11 AM, according to the city's statement. The bridge will be off-limits to traffic at 10 AM.

The safety zone doesn't hold any residences, but it does encompass a hotel, the Koblenzer Weindorf, and the Rhein-Mosel Hall. The Ordnungsamt will carry out a search of the area before the defusal, as per reports. The bomb was found on Friday at the construction site for the new Pfaffendorfer Bridge and its fuse remains intact.

The evacuation ordered includes the nearby Koblenzer Weindorf hotel, which is popular among tourists who often arrive by ship. Due to the closure of the Pfaffendorfer Bridge, sailors might need to adjust their vessel's route to bypass the area.
