Following the finding of a WW2 grenade in the Feuerbach district of Stuttgart, the powerful 250-kilogram explosive was safely disarmed. Numerous tenants and garden allotment owners were subsequently allowed to return to their homes, as stated by a city representative.

The disarming process took place around noon, as per city records. The explosive ordnance from WW2 was uncovered during an investigation conducted by the bomb squad. It was initially uncovered using an excavator and was located 1.5 meters beneath the surface, revealed the representative.

A safety perimeter with a 400-meter radius was established around the site in the early hours. Precautions were taken to ensure no one entered this perimeter, either on foot, by bicycle, or using drones. Approximately 340 residents were impacted.

The discovery of the WW2 grenade necessitated an immediate emergency response by the bomb squad. Once the explosive ordnance was disarmed, an emergency announcement was made for the residents to resume their normal activities.
