Double success for thriller author Sebastian Fitzek: The mystery series "Die Therapie", which was launched a week ago and is based on Fitzek's 2006 debut, is currently the most successful production on Amazon Prime Video in Germany and Austria. This was announced by the streaming service on Friday. The title is also in the top 10 in over 30 countries, including Spain, Turkey and the USA.

The 52-year-old's new novel "The Invitation" about a deadly class reunion in the mountains is also at number one on this week's "Spiegel" bestseller list for fiction.

In the six episodes of "Die Therapie", Berlin psychiatrist Viktor Larenz (Stephan Kampwirth) discovers clues to his daughter's (Helena Zengel) whereabouts two years after she disappeared. Reality and delusions soon become blurred. Amazon Prime Video has also announced that filming for a feature film adaptation of the Fitzek novel "Der Heimweg" will begin soon.
