- Subject undergoes evasion following law enforcement's pursuit

A 22-year-old individual skipped town following their court appearance at Eschwege's magistrate court in Werra-Meißner district. The individual made a run for it on foot just minutes after exiting the building on Monday afternoon, as reported by the Kassel Public Prosecutor's Office and Werra-Meißner Police Directorate. Their whereabouts remain undiscovered since then.

The individual is under suspicion of using a cutting knife to inflict serious injury, including a neck wound, on a 23-year-old during a dispute at a fair in the northern Hessian town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf on the previous Sunday. During the trial, a warrant for their arrest was issued, charging them with attempted murder with the use of a lethal weapon.

They were then supposed to be transported back to the Kassel justice facility. During the transfer, they managed to escape on foot, heading towards the city center. The specifics of the escape are currently under close examination during an internal investigation into the incident.

Police Seek Public's Assistance

Intensive and extensive search operations have commenced, but the fugitive remains at large. The police have even called in a helicopter to aid in their search.

The search efforts continued through Monday evening and Tuesday, employing various search and investigation tactics. The police are now hopeful that the public might have information that could lead them to the suspect.

The investigators mentioned that the suspect has had previous run-ins with the police, in addition to the incident in Bad Sooden-Allendorf. "Given these past incidents and considering the circumstances of the Sunday incident, it cannot be ruled out that the suspect may continue to act aggressively and may attempt to evade capture, anticipating the potential imprisonment," the statement reads.

The police cautioned against approaching the individual. If anyone spots the individual, they are advised to contact the emergency number 110 immediately.

The police have urged the public to be vigilant and report any sightings of the fugitive, as they believe that the individual's past incidents and current circumstances may prompt them to continue evading capture.Despite the extensive search efforts, the whereabouts of the individual who skipped town after court proceedings remain 'other' known locations.
