Stuttgart volleyball players lose again
The German volleyball champions Allianz MTV Stuttgart have conceded another defeat in the Champions League. Coach Konstantin Bitter's team lost 1:3 (25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 18:25) to the Italian top club Imoco Volley Conegliano in front of a home crowd on Wednesday.
The Stuttgart side had already lost at Polish representative PGE Rysice Rzeszów to open Group D. Their starting position has now deteriorated further. The Swabians' next European Cup match is on Tuesday, November 28, at Asterix Avo Beveren in Belgium.
Despite their home advantage, Allianz MTV Stuttgart's women's team continued their losing streak in the Champions League, falling to Imoco Volley Conegliano 1:3. The German champions have now faced two consecutive defeats in this elite European competition.
