Stuttgart volleyball players claim victory in the premier class
The volleyball players of Allianz MTV Stuttgart have celebrated their first victory in the current Champions League season. The German champions clearly won 3:0 (25:20, 25:18, 25:16) at Belgian club Asterix Avo Beveren on Tuesday evening. They had previously been beaten in the group stage by Polish representative PGE Rysice Rzeszów and top Italian club Imoco Volley Conegliano.
Coach Konstantin Bitter's team will also play their next European Cup match at the Italian club next Tuesday.
The Allianz MTV Stuttgart women's volleyball team has the opportunity to prove their mettle in the Champions League, as they will face Imoco Volley Conegliano again in their next match. Despite their initial loss to Polish and Italian opponents, the German Champions League champions are eager to make a mark in the Women's Champions League.
