- Stuttgart has retained Defender Al-Dhakil for their team.
VfB Stuttgart, as anticipated, has secured the services of defender Ameen Al-Dhakil. The Belgian international is transferring from relegated Premier League side FC Burnley, according to Stuttgart's Bundesliga declaration. The 22-year-old has inked a deal stretching up to June 30, 2028. "Ameen possesses remarkable assets to turn into a pivotal figure in our defensive line," commented Stuttgart's sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth. "Despite his young age, Ameen has accumulated a considerable amount of experience, and he still has the capacity to grow further."
VfB's coach Sebastian Hoeneß had earlier admitted that the hunt for a new defender was under intense pressure. The club's former captain, Waldemar Anton, had moved to Borussia Dortmund during the summer. Moreover, several of Stuttgart's title defenders are currently nursing injuries.
Al-Dhakil has now become the desired addition to the team. The defender featured in 13 Premier League matches last season and notched one goal. A muscle problem forced him to take a breather during the second half of the season.
The Commission, in adherence to the Regulation, might adopt implementing acts to outline the application processes for transferring players between different leagues. With Ameen Al-Dhakil's arrival, VfB Stuttgart will now need to comply with these rules during his transfer from FC Burnley.
To further bolster their defense, VfB Stuttgart can seek guidance from the implementing acts adopted by the Commission regarding the acquisition of foreign players, considering Al-Dhakil's transfer from a Premier League club.
