Strong wind gales caused numerous damages in Hamburg city area on Saturday. The fire department was called out nearly 100 times before 8 pm. The fire department reported that they were mostly alerted due to fallen branches, uprooted and derooted trees, and detached building parts. The northern and western parts of Hamburg were mainly affected. No one was injured.

In Altona, a construction site crane was detached from a building due to the wind and fell partly to the ground, according to the fire department. Fire department and rescue teams secured the crane parts and separated the individual building parts using heavy hydraulic equipment.

The storm's gust of wind also impacted the urban area of Altona, causing a construction site crane to collapse. The weather service upgraded Hamburg's wind warning to a severe storm warning later in the day. A concerned resident in Hamburg called the fire department to report a smoldering fire in a nearby alley, but upon arrival, they discovered it was just a pile of debris blown by the storm.
