Ströer expects a good start to the new year
After another strong quarter, the out-of-home advertising specialist Ströer expects the momentum to continue in the coming months. "The double-digit organic growth in year-end bookings, which exceeded our previous expectations, suggests a positive development at the start of the new year," said Co-CEO Christian Schmalzl on Thursday.
The order book for out-of-home advertising in the fourth quarter is already well filled, he said. In the months from July to September, sales rose by 11 percent to 484 million euros compared to the same period in the previous year. Before special effects, interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), this amounted to 134 million euros - an increase of more than a tenth.
The Cologne-based MDax group benefited from significant growth in its digital out-of-home advertising. "The Management Board expects this development to continue," it said. In addition to the marketing of outdoor advertising and other advertising media, Ströer also operates the news portal "T-Online".
Ströer's positive outlook for the new year is largely due to the success in its advertising sector, specifically the double-digit growth in year-end bookings for out-of-home advertising. The company plans to maintain this momentum through targeted advertising campaigns.
