As per the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection, there are strict guidelines for video recording demonstrations, outlined in the Federal and State Assembly Act. In general, police video surveillance is prohibited.
On a previous Friday, a 25-year-old Afghan attacked five individuals from the Islam-critical group Pax Europa and a 29-year-old police officer with a knife on the market square. The police officer passed away two days later due to his injuries.
