Contract extension - Striker Freigang stays with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2027
National player Laura Freigang will also go on goal hunting for Eintracht Frankfurt in the next three years. The 26-year-old striker has extended her contract with the Bundesliga team, which expires in the next summer, prematurely by two years, until June 30, 2027.
Freigang, who is in the Olympic squad of the German national team, has been playing for Frankfurt since 2018 and has scored 74 goals in 124 Bundesliga matches. For the national team, she has played 27 international matches so far.
"We still have a lot to achieve here in Frankfurt and I definitely want to be a part of it and shape the time," explained the native of Kiel her decision and announced her goal for the coming seasons: "I want to keep attacking higher up, play internationally again, and win a title with Eintracht."
Trainer Niko Arnautis sees Freigang as an important pillar for the team - both on and off the field. "Laura is incredibly team-oriented, fast, goal-scoring, and hard to tackle for any opponent. She is an identification figure who embodies Eintracht Frankfurt," Arnautis said.
