Strike against cocaine trafficking: arrests during searches

Police have searched eight homes in Hamburg and neighboring Schleswig-Holstein in the fight against drug trafficking. The officers arrested two men aged 30 and 36, as the police announced on Thursday. The investigators seized more than two kilograms of cocaine, around 10,000 euros in suspected deal money, cell phones and other evidence. The suspects - eleven men aged between 21 and 37 and a 45-year-old woman - are said to have formed gangs and traded cocaine since January.

The searches took place on Wednesday in the Hamburg districts of Bahrenfeld, Eidelstedt, St. Georg and Finkenwerder as well as in Uetersen (Pinneberg district), Pinneberg and Kellinghusen (Steinburg district). The two detainees are due to appear before a magistrate on Thursday.

The seizure of over two kilograms of cocaine and suspected deal money during the arrests indicates a significant involvement in drug-related crime. The arrested individuals are suspected of being part of gangs involved in the trafficking and distribution of cocaine since January.
