- Stress at work makes you sick <unk> Increases in absenteeism
Above all, personal perfectionism is found to cause immense stress among working individuals, according to a new survey. Around two-thirds of respondents feel pressured by their own high expectations to perform their job optimally. Following this, time pressure in daily work is the next significant stressor. The study found that 43% of working individuals often feel pressured, with 15% feeling very often. Meanwhile, the number of workdays lost due to stress-related mental health issues is rising nationwide among KKH policyholders.
The survey was conducted by the polling institute Forsa on behalf of KKH from July 1st to 8th, representing 1,001 working individuals aged 18 to 70 nationwide. With around 1.6 million policyholders, KKH is one of the largest nationwide health insurers.
The findings suggest that besides personal perfectionism, continuously facing time pressure at work also contributes significantly to the stress of many individuals, as indicated by 43% of respondents often feeling pressured. Consequently, the frequency of workdays lost due to stress-related mental health issues among KKH policyholders has been increasing nationwide.
