Previously known German national goalkeeper Almuth Schult is allegedly planning to sign with Bundesliga renewal FC Carl Zeiss Jena, as per Bild. The 33-year-old goalie has signed a contract and has made up her mind about Jena, per reports on Wednesday. Schult had previously missed the Bundesliga promotion with Hamburger SV and desired a shift to another top-tier club.
Schult has a dazzling career behind her. She won the German championship six times with VfL Wolfsburg and the DFB Cup eight times. In 2014, she achieved victory with the Niedersachsen team in the Champions League. After a brief stint at Angel City FC in Los Angeles, she most recently performed for HSV. In the national team, she played 66 international matches, became an Olympic champion, and won the European Championship.
Schult also had conversations with promoted Turbine Potsdam, but ultimately chose Jena. Schult is also known for her television commentary appearances. [
