Weather - Storms expected in Bavaria

In Bavaria, thunderstorms are expected from noon. In the southern Bavarian Forest, there is an increased risk of thunderstorms with heavy rain, gusts of wind between 60 and 80 kilometers per hour, and also hail, the German Weather Service (DWD) announced.

Additionally, particularly in Franconia and the Alpine foothills, strong to stormy winds up to 60 km/h are possible in the afternoon. The DWD also forecasts continuous rain from the evening until Sunday in the Alps and from there to Lower Bavaria, with locally heavy rainfall amounts.
