- Storm risk in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland

Residents of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland should prepare for potential severe weather today. The German Weather Service (DWD) expects scattered showers and potentially strong thunderstorms from the morning onwards, along with heavy rain, hail, and gusty winds. Temperatures will be warm and humid, reaching highs of 25 to 29°C.

Overnight into Friday, it will remain cloudy, with thunderstorm activity persisting. Temperatures will drop to 19 to 15°C, with 13°C in higher elevations.

The weekend will be more pleasant

According to the forecast, further showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to pass over the regions on Friday. It will be slightly cooler, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 27°C. Showers and thunderstorms are also possible overnight into Saturday.

On Saturday, the DWD predicts more pleasant conditions - some clouds will appear, but it will mostly remain dry. It will remain warm and summery, with temperatures climbing to 24 to 27°C, and 22°C in the Eifel highlands.

The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued a new weather forecast, indicating further showers and isolated thunderstorms on Friday. As a precaution, residents should keep an eye on the weather forecast for any potential severe weather.

Despite the threat of weather disruptions on Friday, the DWD's forecast for Saturday is more promising, predicting more pleasant conditions with mostly dry weather and temperatures reaching 24 to 27°C.
