Federal Police arrested three children in Salzlandkreis, Seeland, for allegedly placing stones on train tracks. The incident occurred when a driver spotted stones on the tracks and performed an emergency stop. Near the scene of the incident, some children were seen by the driver. However, upon running over the obstacles, no harm befalled the train.

Later that day, police located three children hiding in a cornfield. Two escaped while one, aged seven, was caught by the officers in the cornfield. The other two boys, aged nine and eleven, were found at their guardians' homes.

The children were apprised of the dangers of playing on train tracks and assured that they would receive a follow-up visit. It is presumed that no train passengers were harmed and the train itself had no damage. However, the journey experienced a slight delay.
