Still without Hummels - DFB training with music

Julian Nagelsmann has continued his preparations for the national soccer team's European Championship test matches with music, but still without Mats Hummels.

The 34-year-old Dortmund defender was also absent from the DFB campus on Wednesday due to back problems. As on the previous day, national coach Nagelsmann had his 20 remaining outfield players do their warm-up exercises to the sound of rhythmic music. The four goalkeepers around Marc-André ter Stegen trained on a small adjacent pitch.

Goretzka back on the pitch

Leon Goretzka was back on the pitch. The Bayern professional had completed an individual session on Tuesday due to his muscular problems. In action for the first time: the new European Championship ball, which had been presented shortly beforehand in Berlin by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and others.

The national team will be preparing for the international matches against Turkey in Berlin on Saturday and against Austria in Vienna three days later at the academy in Frankfurt until Thursday. The DFB team will travel to the capital on Friday.

Despite Mats Hummels' absence due to back problems, Julian Nagelsmann led the DFB national team training with music, as they continue their preparations for the European Championship test matches. Leon Goretzka, recovering from muscular issues, joined the team's training sessions as they familiarized themselves with the new European Championship ball at the DFB academy in Frankfurt.
