Football: Latest Matches and Scores - Steinmeier, Federal President, attends the inaugural game of the European Championships.

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier won't miss the opening game of the European Championship at home. His office announced on Wednesday that Steinmeier will attend the match in person in Munich. The first game of the German football team, managed by national coach Julian Nagelsmann, will take place against Scotland on June 14th (9 p.m., ZDF). In May, Steinmeier had already visited the team's training camp in Thuringia.

Other nations from Group A, who will challenge the host, are Hungary on June 19th in Stuttgart and Switzerland on June 23rd in Frankfurt.
