Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier encourages the residents of Saxony-Anhalt to have faith in the future. He's optimistic that the state will find its way out of its economic slump, as he mentioned during his "Local Time" visit to Stendal with MDR Saxony-Anhalt. This optimism extends to both the federal government and Saxony-Anhalt itself. Prominent investments are slated for Magdeburg, for instance. Contrary to earlier assumptions, the migration from Saxony-Anhalt isn't as significant as it was believed to be. Several regions have even reported economic growth, Steinmeier pointed out.

The past years and decades have seen substantial progress. Nevertheless, there's no foolproof assurance that this state's trajectory will remain unchanged. To tackle crises such as COVID-19 or the conflict in Ukraine, collective action is essential. "I don't think we can tackle these challenges by constantly criticizing ourselves," Steinmeier asserted.

For the 12th time, the federal president has temporarily relocated his office from Schloss Bellevue to a German region, this time to engage with citizens. The selected locations are often pivotal in driving social and economic transformation, although they often fly under the radar.

Germany is the country where Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is temporarily residing to connect with citizens. Steinmeier highlighted the importance of solidarity and cooperation between Germany and other nations, such as during the challenges posed by COVID-19 and the conflict in Ukraine.
