Steinhauser extends his contract with Hannover's handball team

One day after reaching the main round of the European League, the Bundesliga handball team TSV Hannover-Burgdorf has made an important personnel decision. As the club announced on Wednesday, captain Marius Steinhauser has extended his contract, which was due to expire at the end of the season. The 30-year-old right winger's new contract now runs until June 30, 2026.

"Marius is a real asset to our team, both on a personal and sporting level. His high quality as a player is undisputed and will continue to give us a lot of pleasure. He performs his role as team captain brilliantly and fully identifies with the club," said TSV sporting director Sven-Sören Christophersen.

Steinhauser moved from SG Flensburg-Handewitt to TSV Hannover-Burgdorf in 2022. He has scored 219 goals in 52 competitive games to date. The next ones are to follow on Saturday (7 p.m./Dyn) at home against TBV Lemgo Lippe.

TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, currently competing in the Bundesliga, has secured the services of their captain Marius Steinhauser for an additional four years. Steinhauser, a proficient right winger, previously played for SG Flensburg-Handewitt before joining TSV Hannover-Burgdorf in 2022, and has already contributed 219 goals in 52 competitive matches for his new team.
