Social affairs - State Secretary: There is still a lot to do when it comes to inclusion

According to Christine Arbogast, State Secretary in the Ministry of Social Affairs, there is still a lot of catching up to do when it comes to inclusion in Lower Saxony. "Even if progress has been made in the area of inclusion in recent years: There is still a lot to do," said Arbogast on Wednesday at the inclusion conference in Hanover.

According to the ministry, around 300 participants from civil society, associations, practice and politics took part in the conference.

Citizens can submit suggestions on how to improve the participation of people with disabilities in Lower Saxony via a so-called digital ideas box. According to the ministry, a new strategy paper will be available in summer 2024. The measures agreed in it are to be implemented within the legislative period up to 2027.
