The road surface of a country road was severely damaged in a fire involving a van near Feldatal in the Vogelsberg district. The vehicle belonging to a 42-year-old man burnt out completely on Thursday evening, as the police reported on Friday morning. The cause of the fire is currently believed to be a technical defect. The driver of the van was uninjured. The section of state road 3070 between Stumpertenrod and the junction to state road 3326 affected by the fire was completely closed.
