National policy - State parliament discusses supplementary budget 2023 and budget 2024
At the session of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament on Thursday (from 9.30 a.m.), the focus will be on financial policy. The black-red-yellow coalition wants to pass the supplementary budget for 2023 in parliament. This is intended to secure the coronavirus special fund. The 2024 budget is also to be adopted. Finance Minister Michael Richter (CDU) is planning higher expenditure for next year than ever before. The draft has a volume of more than 14 billion euros. Around 4.5 billion euros have been budgeted for personnel costs.
Debates on the topics of "Democratic culture in the special police units" and art acquisitions by the state are also on the agenda.
