Voting process - State leader of AfD believes in positive momentum for upcoming state elections.
René Springer, head of the AfD in Brandenburg, anticipates a strong showing for his party in the upcoming state election, following victories in both the European and local elections. Springer expressed his confidence by saying, "We've become the main players in this state now, knocking the SPD out of their top spot." He added, "With these latest election results, we enter the state election campaign with a powerful tailwind."
The target for September 22nd's state election is to secure more than 30% of the votes. The AfD gained 27.5% in the European election and 25.7% in the Brandenburg municipal elections. Springer's confidence in the AfD's performance in Brandenburg's state election stems from the party's success in both the European and local elections. During the state election campaign, the AfD aims to surpass the 30% vote share they achieved in the European election and the 25.7% in the Brandenburg municipal elections. The SPD, previously dominating in the state, now finds themselves in a secondary position after the AfD's electoral victories. In Potsdam, where the state election will take place, René Springer believes the momentum gained from the European and local elections will carry them forward. Despite facing competition from parties like the SPD and others, the AfD remains hopeful for a promising outcome in the Brandenburg state election.
