Leisure time - State Garden Show in Höxter reports financial growth
The Höxter (NRW) State Horticultural Show 2023 at the border with Lower Saxony and Hessen has closed with a slight surplus. According to the city of Höxter, there was a surplus of 53,000 Euro as of Thursday. The Show organizers reported a record revenue of 10.3 million Euro in their announcement.
"This is a result that seeks its equal," said Business Manager Claudia Koch.
Revenue and visitor numbers were significantly higher than planned. From the end of April to October 2023, a total of 622,430 paying visitors came. The city had already announced this number at the end of the State Horticultural Show in the previous October. The organizers in Höxter, with a population of approximately 29,000, had calculated with around 400,000 guests. A new record for State Horticultural Shows in NRW was set with almost 36,300 sold season passes.
