Journeying through space - "Starship" missile system to undergo its 4th test launch

The biggest rocket craft ever in space travel is geared up for its fourth evaluation flight on Thursday. A 2-hour launch window commences at 2:00 p.m. according to private space company SpaceX, initiated by tech tycoon Elon Musk. The uncrewed "Starship" will blast off from SpaceX's spaceport within Texas. The goal is a 1-hour test flight and controlled descents of both rocket components. The rocket arrangement is intended for human expeditions to the Moon and Mars.

In the initial test in April last year, the whole rocket arrangement shattered after a couple of minutes. In the following evaluation in November, the 2 parts detached but eventually blew apart. In the third flight test in March, the "Starship" achieved space for the very first time but could not fulfill the flight as planned.

The "Starship" includes the 70-meter-long "Super Heavy" booster and the 50-meter-long upper section, also known as "Starship". The rocket system is crafted to allow the spacecraft and rocket to be used again once they return to Earth. It totals 120 meters in length and is anticipated to be capable of transporting more than 100 tons of cargo in the future. NASA plans to leverage the "Starship" for transporting astronauts to the Moon. SpaceX aims to one day reach Mars.
