From the German Bundesliga team FC St. Pauli, there aren't high expectations for significant moves by the transfer window's end. As coach Alexander Blessin put it prior to the squad's initial road match of the season on Friday (8:30 PM/DAZN) against 1. FC Union Berlin, "It's not like we're compelled to act any differently."

The Reeperbahn outfit is still intent on "taking a leisurely gander" at the domestic transfer market until Friday evening. If anything pops up, "obviously we'll be present and prepared to make moves in the transfer market."

Blessin: "Thrilled with all new additions"

"I'm absolutely thrilled with all our new additions," Blessin stated. The northerners added defenders like Fin Stevens from FC Brentford and temporary offensive player Morgan Guilavogui from RC Lens, among others. The departure of vital player Marcel Hartel to the USA was especially sour.

The newly-promoted side suffered a 0:2 home loss against 1. FC Heidenheim in their opening game last week. Against Berliners, St. Pauli aims to be more purposeful. Blessin wants his team to be "more determined and ravenous." He anticipates a challenging match.

The manager, Alexander Blessin, emphasized that the team won't rush into any transfers, stating, "We're still intent on taking a leisurely gander at the domestic transfer market until Friday evening." Moreover, if an opportunity arises, they're ready, as Blessin added, "Obviously, we'll be present and prepared to make moves in the transfer market, if anything pops up."
