German Bundesliga team FC St. Pauli might be missing forward Elias Saad for a while. The 24-year-old picked up an ankle ligament injury on his right side during the match against Union Berlin (0:1) on Friday. This information was disclosed by an MRI scan conducted at the hospital, as the club stated. No exact recovering date has been provided. Saad has decided against participating in his international commitments with Tunisia's national team.

On a positive note, there's no serious harm reported for defender Eric Smith. He was taken off during the game in Berlin due to adductor issues. However, as per the announcement, there's no severe injury.

Eric Smith's adductor issues allowed him to avoid a serious injury during the match against Union Berlin, unlike forward Elias Saad who sustained an ankle ligament injury. Despite being substituted, Smith will likely miss less time than Saad, who may be sidelined for an unknown period due to his injury.
