U21 international Wagner won't be part of SC Freiburg's squad next season. He's planning to hone his skills at a Bundesliga promotion club.

German Football League - St. Pauli signs Freiburg's U21 international Wagner on loan.

SC Freiburg loans U21 standout Robert Wagner to FC St. Pauli, as revealed by both clubs on Thursday. Wagner will reportedly fill in for Marcel Hartel and Aljoscha Kemlein, who have departed from the Hamburg-based club. Hartel's destination remains unknown, while Kemlein is headed back to Union Berlin.

Wagner, aged 20, had a stint with SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the second division the previous season. "I'm thrilled about the opportunity to progress at a club where my style of play aligns perfectly," he expressed regarding his move to FC St. Pauli.
