Second-division side SSV Ulm travels to Regensburg with great respect for the promotion duel against SSV Jahn Regensburg. Coach Thomas Wöhrle expects a "tough challenge" for his team on Friday (6:30 PM/Sky). "But we're glad to finally play our first away game in the second division," he said.

On their return to the professional second tier after 23 years, Ulm unfortunately lost 1:2 at home to 1. FC Kaiserslautern last Sunday and now hopes to pick up their first points in Regensburg. Despite a brief relegation to the third tier last year, the hosts have a very experienced second-division squad.

Jahn is very strong defensively and focuses on counter-attacks, explained Wöhrle. "They're quick, they're very purposeful." The deployment of new signing Laurin Ulrich is uncertain. The midfielder, on loan from VfB Stuttgart, is ill. A decision on his participation will be made shortly.

Despite the challenging away game ahead, the Sky is bright for SSV Ulm as they prepare to play in Regensburg. Regardless of their loss at home in their previous match, the Sky is high for the second-division side as they pursue their first points in this new season.
