Thunderstorm - Squalls over Dresden: sun lounger hangs in telephone line

After thunder and tornadoes over Dresden, the fire department was called to more than a dozen interventions - one of them was peculiar. The strong storm had apparently carried away a sunbed, which suddenly hung in a telephone line and had to be removed, as the fire department reported in the evening. In addition, the emergency services were alerted due to uprooted trees, some of which had fallen on cars. According to initial findings by the fire department, there were no casualties.

The incident in Dresden, Germany, where a sun lounger was found suspended in a telephone line during the storm, was quite a curiosity for the fire department. Despite the severe weather conditions, including the thunderstorm and squall in Saxony, the fire department managed to safely remove the sunbed. The storm also resulted in several uprooted trees, one of which fell onto a car in the city. Fortunately, according to the fire department's preliminary report, there were no reported injuries or casualties. The unusual incident added to the list of events the fire department had to handle that day in Germany.
