Spring in Saarland and Offenbach also experienced above-average temperatures and higher than usual rainfall, following the trend observed in Rhineland-Palatinate. The German Meteorological Service (DWD) reported a noticeable warming in these regions as well.

The DWD's climate data for Spring 2023 showed remarkably high temperatures and excessive rainfall across much of Germany, including Mainz and other regions of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The unseasonably warm Spring resulted in a significant increase in rainfall, leading to waterlogging and flooding in many parts of Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Mainz.

In line with this year's trend, the DWD forecasted a continuation of milder temperatures and variable rainfall patterns for the beginning of summer in areas like Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Mainz.
