Spotify annual charts: Apache 207 is musician of the year
Rapper Apache 207 is the most streamed artist of the year in Germany. This was announced by the streaming provider Spotify as part of its annual review "Wrapped". The 26-year-old Apache 207, whose real name is Volkan Yaman, was born in Mannheim and is currently one of the most successful German rappers.
Rapper Bonez MC is the second most-streamed artist in Germany, having taken third place in 2022. This year, pop star Taylor Swift ("Anti-Hero") is also in third place, according to the Swedish audio streaming service.
According to Spotify, Apache 207 is not only the most listened to artist, his joint song "Komet" with Udo Lindenberg is also the most streamed song of the year among Spotify users in Germany with around 176 million streams (as of November 29). US singer Miley Cyrus came in second place among the most frequently listened to songs with "Flowers". The two rankings were also identical on Spotify competitor Apple Music. The latter published its annual charts on Tuesday. Streaming service Deezer has not yet released any information.
