Charity event - Sports Ball: 1600 guests and a look ahead to the Paris Games

Around 1600 guests from the worlds of sport, business, politics and society are expected to attend the 53rd edition of Deutsche Sporthilfe's "Ball des Sports" on February 17, 2024 in the Festhalle Frankfurt. "The Sports Ball is Germany's most important social platform for facilitating and celebrating top international performances," said Sporthilfe CEO Thomas Berlemann in a statement on Tuesday. The charity event is one of the most important sources of income for the promotion of Germany's best athletes. High "six-figure charity proceeds" are once again expected.

An exclusive sports and show program will offer a preview of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The prestigious event will focus on classic sports such as judo and fencing, as well as young Olympic disciplines such as 3x3 basketball and breaking, according to the press release. Prizes worth around 300,000 euros can be won in the raffle.
