Special forces search school after threatening call
After a threatening call about a rampage at a school in Dorsten on the northern edge of the Ruhr region, special police forces searched the building on Wednesday morning. According to a spokeswoman, the pupils were temporarily housed in a gymnasium. However, according to a preliminary assessment, the officers did not find anything.
According to the police, two pupils were taken into custody. However, this was not related to the threatening call. A video showing a knife had been passed on via social media at the school in the Recklinghausen district. The pupils were questioned about this, said the police spokeswoman in Münster.
Further investigations in the Recklinghausen district revealed another potential threat, as a student shared a disturbing drawing depicting crime at a local school. Authorities have increased security measures around schools in the area, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe learning environment.
