Spandau water polo team with new coach
The water polo champions Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 have a new coach. As the Berlin team announced on Friday, the Serbian Vladimir Markovic succeeds Athanasios Kechagias, who was released the day before. Markovic will be in charge of the team for the Bundesliga game against Krefeld 72 on Saturday. Next Tuesday, he will be responsible for the Champions League match against CN Marseille.
The 48-year-old played for various clubs in his home country and was a member of the Yugoslavian junior team. He later played for several Italian professional clubs. Markovic gained experience as a coach with youth teams in Italy and Serbia. He has been assistant coach of the DSV men's team since 2022.
The new coach for the Water polo champions Wasserfreunde Spandau 04, Vladimir Markovic, will lead the team in the upcoming Bundesliga game against Krefeld 72 on Saturday. Additionally, Markovic will manage Spandau in their Champions League match against CN Marseille on the following Tuesday.
