Space trade fair begins
The Space Tech Expo Europe trade fair begins today in Bremen. According to the organizer, more than 650 exhibitors are represented. These include industry giants such as Airbus Defense and Space, Arianespace and Safran, Bremen-based satellite manufacturer OHB and start-ups such as Rocket Factory Augsburg and HyImpulse. Bremen's Senator for Economic Affairs Kristina Vogt (Left Party) is to open the multi-day show with a speech. The organizer expects more than 6,200 visitors, according to the website.
At 9.45 a.m. on Tuesday, Walther Pelzer, member of the board of the German Aerospace Center, is to give a lecture. At 10.15 a.m., Philippe Baptiste, Chief Executive of the French space agency CNES, will speak, according to the announcement.
Space Tech Expo Europe has been running since 2015 and the organizer, the British company Smarter Shows, describes the trade fair as the largest of its kind in Europe. The show ends on Thursday.
