Due to a supposed armed threat, a specialized ops team is on a roll in Berlin's Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. Approximately twenty law enforcers are present, as a police rep shared with DPA News Agency. The suspected weapon-wielding individual is thought to have retreated to an apartment situated on Dreilindenstraße. The rep held back on sharing more information at the moment.

A DPA journalist reportedly heard some strong bangs from the apartment building, which sounded akin to gunshots. However, the police remained quiet when inquired about it. Multiple ambulances and a helicopter rescue unit are present at the location as well.

The police spokesperson announced, "The situation is escalating, and the following shall be added: a local evacuation order for the surrounding area as a precautionary measure." Despite the escalating tension, the suspected individual's whereabouts remain unknown to the public.
