Sports Leader - Some coaches weren't asked in the recruitment process.
Bayern Munich's hunt for a new coach has faced numerous refusals, but this isn't entirely accurate, according to Sporting Director Christoph Freund. "I've seen in the news that some trainers have withdrawn. They didn't withdraw, they weren't even asked. I believe that many people, not just trainers, would want to work with Bayern Munich because they have a massive platform. Everyone enjoys writing about Bayern Munich, and you get a lot of positive attention," Freund stated at the Sports Media Austria meeting.
During talks with Leverkusen's head coach Xabi Alonso, national coach Julian Nagelsmann, and Austria's national coach Ralf Rangnick, the circumstances varied. However, this doesn't relate to the appeal of the club, as Freund also admitted, "We want to generate fewer headlines in the future and instead focus on titles." Earlier today, Bayern Munich unveiled Belgian Vincent Kompany as their new coach.
