Snowfall - Some Bavarian castles and parks still closed
Following the heavy snowfall in Bavaria, several castles remained closed to visitors on Sunday. According to the Bavarian Palace Administration, this applied to Linderhof Palace in Ettal (district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and Herrenchiemsee on Herreninsel in Chiemsee. The Munich Residenz was open again on Sunday. Neuschwanstein Castle near Füssen in the Allgäu region was not affected by the closures.
In Munich, Nymphenburg Palace Park is closed due to the risk of snowfall. For the English Garden, the palace administration is asking visitors not to enter at least the wooded areas.
In Oberschleißheim near Munich, Lustheim Palace and its park remained closed. The Old Schleißheim Palace and the New Schleißheim Palace were open to visitors.

Despite the snowfall impacting various attractions, Neuschwanstein Castle in Allgäu continued to welcome visitors. The weather in Bavaria also affected Ettal's district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, causing closures at Linderhof Palace and Herrenchiemsee on Chiemsee. Tourists planning visits to Munich's Nymphenburg Palace Park should be cautious, as the palace administration recommends avoiding the wooded areas due to the risk of snowfall. On the contrary, the Old Schleißheim Palace and the New Schleißheim Palace in Oberschleißheim near Munich remained open to visitors. Travellers should note that some venues in Bavaria oblige to specific regulations during snowfall events, such as Herrenchiemsee Palace management.
